Competition success for Truglaze

The Frimley Green Carnival is always a huge event for the local community. This year was no different with hundreds of people turning out to enjoy the sunshine and the festivities.

Every year Solidor Premium Installer Truglaze embrace the community spirit by giving away a brand new Solidor. Following the success of previous year’s event Truglaze doubled the opportunity to win this time around and offered TWO brand new Solidors.

How did it work?

Competition #1 Truglaze handed out 100 keys to passers-by and invited them to try to unlock the Solidor within their showroom.  The fortunate person with the key that opened the door won their very own Solidor.

Lucky Leanne Bryant was delighted to win!

Competition #2  The second give away was a social media campaign whereby people were automatically entered by liking and sharing Truglaze’s carnival post on Facebook, or leaving their email through their website.  The name of each entry was then applied to a front door within the showroom and the winner was chosen randomly by the carnival princes.

Mr & Mrs Cordery names were selected and they are really excited to have won.

Rob Gaunt Director of Truglaze – This is the third year that we’ve given a Solidor composite door away as part of our carnival competition, and it’s always a huge success and something that we really enjoy doing!  Solidor are without a doubt the industry leaders in manufacturing composite doors and we take great pride in offering such a luxury product to our customers.  We’re all really looking forward to transforming the competition winner’s homes.

Both winners have since worked with Truglaze to design their perfect Solidor using the online door designer and are looking forward to having them installed! So watch this space….

We’re going out of this world! Win a free door

This year we celebrate our 8th anniversary just in time for the 41st Frimley Green Carnival. To get the celebrations well and truly underway we have again joined up with our good friends at Solidor by giving away not one but TWO Solidor composite doors absolutely free!

Jumping into the carnival theme – World of Discovery – we invite you to submerge yourself into our door discovery zone by visiting our door designer web page. Here you can create an entrance out of this world for your home with the only limits being the boundaries of your imagination.

For the competition winners there are no restrictions on the designs, colours or furnishings of your new door. You design it on our website, we supply and install it completely free of charge! Let your mind run wild! Here’s how it works…

Door give away 1 Simply collect a key from our shop on the day of the carnival or from one of the Truglaze team dotted around the Green to obtain a front door key. Visit the shop from 2pm onwards and if your key unlocks the door, you win! Yes it really is as simple as that.

For those that are unable to join the party on the day, here’s your chance to win our second door.

Door give away 2 Leave your name and email on our home page and your details will automatically be entered into the competition draw. The winning entry will be drawn on the day of the 41st Frimley Green carnival and will be notified by email.

To emphasise once again, there are absolutely no restrictions on the designs, colours or furnishings of your new door. You design it on our website, we supply and install it completely free of charge!
Even if you don’t fancy chancing your luck at winning a new door we openly invite you to join the party and watch the procession pass by whilst sharing a beer, glass of champagne and some nibbles in the comfort of our shop front garden.

Carnival fun & front door give away!

The early morning Sunday rain had threatened to dampen spirits of the Frimley Green carnival fun with forecasters predicting a 98% chance of rain all day. The people of the village had pinned their hope on the remaining 2% and prayers were answered when the rain cleared mid morning and the sunshine shone through in the afternoon. It was lovely to see such a large turn out for the local event with terrific efforts put into all of the floats in the procession and the Green packed with lots of fun stalls on the day.  As the official carnival sponsors we donated an ipad mini with itunes vouchers for the grand raffle.  Our front door give away also proved to be a huge success with over 90 people visiting the shop to chance their luck at bagging a composite door worth in excess of £1100.00.

Sadly there could only be 1 winner and thanks to Mr Thornhill’s young daughter picking the winning key, they now have a brand new Solidor composite door en route to them.

Thank you to everyone for turning it up making it a memorable day for all involved.

Showroom open day marks 6th anniversary

May 27th see’s the 6th anniversary for Truglaze Windows, coinciding with the day that our new shop front signage is being installed. Happy birthday!

So the date for the open day has been set and as we ramp up closer to be big event, the excitement  within the Truglaze camp builds!  Friends and co workers alike have worked extremely hard over the past 6 months to create what we consider to be a fantastic environment to showcase our beautiful range of windows and doors.  The invitation is open to all, customers past and present and also to those who perhaps are not currently  in the market for home improvements but would just like to pop in and see what all the fuss is about. So why not pay us a visit to see what we have to offer and help us toast this new era by sharing a glass of champagne, wine or beer?

New showroom!

We are extremely pleased to announce that Truglaze Windows are to open a brand new showroom towards the end May to coincide with the companies 6th birthday.

Known best to those who live locally to Frimley Green as ‘the old bike shop, Camberley Discount Cycles closed its doors to the public in 2011 after more than 67 years of trading.  After the closure of the bike shop  a carpet outlet traded briefly from the premises until moving onto pastures new leaving the once loved village shop empty and dormant.

The pictures attached illustrate the dilapidated condition of the building when we first took occupancy  in October 2014.  As you can see,  the shop still boasted the original bike shop flooring, shop front and suspended ceiling (what was left of it).  Thanks to a lot of hard work we have managed to nurture the shop back to its once former glory and are now just weeks away from throwing the doors open and inviting everyone in to see both the transformation and the amazing line of products we have to offer.  More to follow!………

Ben’s cause

The first of our monthly blog updates starts this month with Ben’s cause. Ben is 5 years old and was born with cerebral palsy. 2 years ago we sponsored one of the many fantastic fund raising events Ben’s parents held in order to raise money for Ben to have physio therapy sessions. Thanks to the love, support and hard work of Ben’s parents they managed to raise the funds needed for Ben’s physio sessions and we are pleased to report that  Ben has been making slow but steady progression.

Now at 5 years old Ben has been approved to have the life changing operation called SDR (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy).  This will remove the spasticity in Ben’s legs, therefore removing all the pain & enabling Ben to use his “normal” muscles.  This operation can only be carried out in St Louis, Missouri, America & for the life-changing operation and essential post-op therapy they need to raise a huge £60k.

We attended a fund raising black tie event held by Ben’s parents and were thrilled that they managed to raise just over £7000.00 on this one evening alone towards his operation.

Adding our donation to money already raised we are so pleased to learn that they have now managed to break the half way point.

For anyone who would like to learn more of Ben’s story or if you should wish to make a donation to this life changing cause, please click on the link below.

From all of the Truglaze team we wish Ben and his parents all the luck in the world in reaching their target goal and to a successful operation.
